About Me
I am a clinical social worker with 20 years of experience working in social work and counseling. I have lived and worked in both New York City and Portland, Oregon so I have experience with people from a wide range of backgrounds. One of my main areas of specialty is parenting stress, specifically parenting when you have your own history of trauma that you are finding is starting to impact how you parent. I also have significant training in trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, and chronic toxic stress.
My counseling style is casual and warm. Clients often tell me it doesn't "feel like therapy" until they notice that they are starting to make changes in their lives, feel validated, and start to think more about their patterns and behaviors. I use a lot of cognitive-behavioral techniques as well as interpersonal, client-centered therapy. The priority of treatment is to focus on your goals and we will work together as a team to identify them and find the best ways to work towards them.

My Mission
My mission is to empower parents and caregivers to engage positively with their children, increase their reflective functioning, and increase feelings of competency and decrease stress. By doing so, caregivers will be able to increase children’s feelings of calm, control, safety and develop resiliency skills needed for increased functioning
